How do I register for the school year program?
To register for school year:

  2. Depending on space a registration packet will be mailed to you
  3. Complete and sign the registration form
  4. Sign the pages in the parent handbook
  5. Return the signed registration form, the signed parent handbook pages and a registration check to the Kids Adventures Office (click here)

Can I print a school year registration from the Kids Adventures website?
Due to our waiting list, Kids Adventures is unable to post our school year registration forms on our website. Families who would like to register for the school year program will be sent a registration form on a first come basis based on space.

If there is no space in the school year program you will be placed on the school year waiting list.

To get on the waiting list for school year:

You can reserve your spot in line by completing a waitlist information form.

Frequently Asked General Questions
What do I do if my child is out sick?
If your child will be out of the center due to illness or other reason we ask that you notify the Kids Adventures site either in writing, by phone, or via e-mail.

Please remember that every time a staff member needs to call to check on where a child is takes that staff member away from other children.

What if I need to drop off for an extra day that my child does not normally attend?
Drop in care is available on a space available basis. Parents must make arrangements with the site director in advance for drop-in care. Parents are expected to make the drop-in payment at the time of drop in either by check or by completing an EZ-EFT electric funds transfer form for the amount of the drop in fee.

What forms of payment does Kids Adventures Accept?
Kids Adventures accepts payment by check, electronic funds transfer, and credit card.

All tuition Payments must be made through the Kids Adventures Office. No Tuition payments will be accepted at the site.

Tuition payments are not accepted at the site. However payments for drop-in care and fieldtrips must be made at the site.

No. For security and accounting purposes Kids Adventures does not accept cash payments for tuition, field trips, or drop-in fees.

Frequently Asked Summer Camp Questions
How does the camp staff know if my child has a medical condition that will need to be monitored at camp?
The Kids Adventures Medical Plan is monitored by the Kids Adventures Camp Nurse who is registered with and Licensed by the State of Maryland. Each Site employs a Medication Technician who is registered with and Licensed by the State of Maryland and supervised by the Camp Nurse. . Approximately 80% of the Kids Adventures staff are certified in 1st Aid and CPR and are supervised by the Camp Nurse.

The camper Health Form includes a section to indicate any medical conditions your child may have. The Camp Director and camp counselors are notified and trained on a need to know basis of your child’s medical conditions.

If you have concerns about your child, please do not hesitate to talk to your child’s site director or the Kids Adventures Office. All medical information is handled with strict confidentiality.

What safety precautions does Kida Adventures take at pools and water parks?
In addition to the certified lifeguards who are on staff at the pools and water parks that we visit, The Kids Adventures staff are in the water as well as spotting from the pool deck. Each child wears a waterproof Kids Adventures wrist band to identify them as being with Kids Adventures. Approximately 80% of the Kids Adventures staff are certified in 1st Aid and CPR. We do not depend solely on lifeguards to watch the children but, work with them, ultimately relying on our staff to be accountable for your child’s safety.

Attendance is taken before the children leave the bus, after they enter the pool or water park, at regular intervals during the day, before exiting the pool or water park, and again on the bus.

Your child’s safety is our first priority.

How do you keep track of the children on field trips?
On scheduled field trip days, campers wear their Kids Adventures t-shirt. We have your children wear these shirts to help ensure the safety and instant visual identification of all our campers. The children are accompanied throughout the day by their Kids Adventures Counselors. Kids Adventures counselors take scheduled attendance throughout the day and are equipped with cell phones and walkie-talkies to keep in contact with each other and their camp director.

Your child’s safety is our first priority.

Can I send my child for just a few days of the week instead of the whole week?
Kids Adventures Summer Camps operate on a weekly basis. This means that your child can attend for one week, the whole summer, or any number of weeks in-between.

If your child is unable to attend all of the days, you will still be responsible for the full tuition.

Kids Adventures is unable to allow families to make up days missed during a previous week.

What do I send with my child to camp?
Send your child with a backpack or bag for belongings Kids Adventures back packs can be purchased at the site or through the Kid Adventures Office. In their backpacks, please send a bathing suit, towel, extra sunscreen, and a non-perishable disposable bag lunch & drink. (We do have coolers for lunches).

Please remember to label your child’s belongings. (Permanent markers and fabric pens are available at the site in case you forget.)

Children are not encouraged to bring valuables to camp (i.e. cell phones, video games, collector cards, jewelry, etc.).

At Kids Adventures we see rainy days as an opportunity to do something different. The Kids Adventures staff have a variety of fun and exciting rainy day schedules. Please check with the director or the Kids Adventures office for some examples.

Can I send my child for just a few days of the week instead of the whole week?
Kids Adventures and Teen Adventures offers several different enrollment plans to our families.

Kids Adventures Pre-Kindergarten offers a 5 day per week classroom program with before and after school program options.

The Kids Adventures Before and After School Program offers 2, 3, or 5 day a week plans, each with the option for AM only, PM only, or AM & PM together.

The Teen Adventures Program offers 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 afternoon per week programs

All enrollment plans must be registered with the Kids Adventures Office.

What if I need to change or cancel my enrollment plan?
Kids Adventures requires 30 days notice prior to any change in enrollment, however, in many cases we can process a request in less than 30 days.

To make change to your child’s enrollment parents may either choose one of the following options.

  1. Obtain an Enrollment Change form:
    1. From the site director
    2. From the Kids Adventures Office
    3. Print the form from this website
  2. Return the completed form to:

    2. The Kids Adventures Office

Parents who register their e-mail with the Kids Adventures Office may also e-mail changes to Accounts@KidsAdventures.NET (only if your e-mail address is registered with the Kids Adventures Office)
